Somebody definitely needs to write a book about this (Jim? Erica?) I, too, was having the "neons". And not only Photoshop, but my Acrobat and any OSX printing as well. I'm by no means an expert on this, but after a lot of digging, the best I can figure is that it has something to do with the "idiot-proofing" color correction built into OSX. My Photoshop 5.5 would be fine, but my 7 was WA-A-A-A-A-A-Y off. After a lot of trial-and-error with the ColorSync settings in the System Preferences, and the "Color Settings..." in Photoshop, I was able to get the settings to match and "voila", everything looked fine, and printed okay, too. (But ask me to duplicate my steps...ah, no...). So my feeble suggestion would be to check those areas out first, and also check the library/colorsync/profiles folder, or the users/(yourname)/library/colorsync/profiles folder. What is installed there seems to have an affect on the overall color management. jb > From: Larry Richelli <tech at technonerd.com> > Reply-To: "Macintosh Digital Video List"<MacDV at lists.themacintoshguy.com> > Date: Sat, 20 Sep 2003 07:00:12 -1000 > To: "Macintosh Digital Video List" <MacDV at lists.themacintoshguy.com> > Subject: [MacDV] Neon picture > > But no matter which > choice I picked the neon colors were still there.
