Canon Optura 40/30

Hey,

What do you people here think of these Canon models? I saw one in Walmart
the other day. My wife is using an old used Canon ZR-30MC. I would like to
get the Optura 40 or 30 as a setup. I am looking for something for my first
MiniDV feature. Is this a joke?
