Actually Disney re-evaluates archival every 3 to 5 years, so although they may have determined that DVCAM is the best solution at this time, I wouldn't assume that they expect DVCAM to last forever.

    DVCAM tapes, given the due diligence a company like Disney goes through 
    prior to making archiving decisions, should likely give anyone 
    considering archiving to MiniDV the best possible longevity.
