No offense intended, but without the gimbal handle that's nothing but a tripod with it's legs cut off and weighted. It's helpful, but doesn't do (at all) what an actual Glide-Cam does. Without the gimbal your arm movements are not isolated from the camera and that's what makes a GlideCam a GlideCam. I've filmed stuff with a stunted tripod like that and the results are better than handheld but nowhere close to what I saw when I used my new one...
