[MacDV] Apple abandons the G3 chip

The amazing thing is that it took so long for it to happen.  All 
architectures
get retired eventually.

If you need these new apps, sell the G3 on Ebay, and put the $ towards
a new system.    The Power Mac G3 blue & white is coming up to 5 years
old.   That's 3 generations ago in Moore's Law.

I'm waiting for the 3 GHz G5 that Steve Jobs promised in July when the
2 GHz G5 was announced.   Would like to see a lower-power G5 chip get
into the laptop range too.
