Hooking up RCA video to G5

You need to convert the analog (output of the VHS machine) to digital
(firewire)

Will you be using a dv camcorder? If so, just hook up the firewire cable
from the camcorder to the G5, and using the red/white and yellow cables that
came with the camcorder, hook them into the Out of the VHS deck.

If you don't have the dv camcorder, then you will need to purchase a
converter device.

For FCP, I would recommend that you convert (dub) all your VHS tapes to dv
first, then use the DV tapes to import into FCP.
