Any >advice would be most welcome. > >Doug Mitchell Last week I tried to start up my G4 Dual and all I could get from the HD was a click-click-click. I tried everything I could think of but nothing worked. I wasn't too worried about my files as I had them backed up on a Maxtor 80 gig external HD. I replaced the HD on the computer, reinstalled the system and the apps. I wanted to wait until I had plenty of time to reinstall the backed up material. Well, I am sure you have already guessed what happened. This morning I started up the computer and low and behold the external HD with all the backed-up material began to click-click-click. Nothing I have tried has helped. I ordered Disk Warrior and will try that. All I know is that in the future I will rely on removable media and duplicate copies of those real important files.
