HP will sell these cheaply It would be truly astonishing if Apple had forgotten to write a clause in the licensing contract stipulating a minimum resale price by H-P. HP won't undercut Apple's prices. The clone situation was very different to this. As others have pointed out, the H-Pod deal also gets Quicktime software onto high volume desktops. This is very, very good for Apple. The big loser is Microsoft (in as much that any company sitting on profits of $50 BN from operating an unregulated unlicensed monopoly can be said to "lose"). Peter
