I use "Shintaro" 4X DVD-R discs with no problems.
I have a Dual G5 2ghz with the Pioneer 106D (AO6) drive. I've burnt
about 40-50 without a coaster.
I have burnt discs with Toast 5.3, Disc Copy (for data backup) and
iDVD 3. I have not had any problems with these discs playing on any of
the 4 stand alone DV players I have access to.
These are the cheapest disks I can get here in Australia on special at
$21.00 a pack of 10.
