The zr60 has true anamorphic so the LCD will appear squashed or stretched during
shooting. If you can get used to that, then the 4:3 monitor playback at the end is
great. It also makes for less work for the Mac while editing. This is ultimately the
best quality solution for widescreen.

On the other hand, if you shoot standard and then letterbox during the edit you have the
ability to reframe shots vertically since there is extra information top and bottom.
Some folks prefer this extra measure of control over the end frame.
