Batch convert Quicktime to Avi?

Hello,
I need to convert 400 files from Quicktime DV-NTSC to AVI DV-NTSC ...
Compressor doesn't support Avi and Cleaner reports an error and then
crashes (typical Cleaner behaviour I might add) ... Quicktime Player
seems to recompress everything since the avi files are smaller then the
mov ... also i don't know anything about Applescript, which might come
handy in this case ... Anyone got any ingenious suggestions for me??
