He's on 10.2 Karl, I think you'll need to upgrade to Panther to use your drive with Apple's built-in burning software (and the iApps). But with that upgrade you not only get support for your DVD+/-RW drive, but you get a pretty kick-a** operating system! ;-) Or you can use Toast.
