xfering from iMovie3 to iDVD3

My apologies, since I believe since this topic may have been covered in 
previous posts --

I imported a 48 min. program from VHS into iM3 via FW using a Sony 
Media Converter, performed two small edits, saved it, played parts of 
it (which played fine) and then selected Export>to iDVD which opened 
iDVD3.  I then dragged the QT image of the movie onto the iDVD window, 
selected the 'Movie' button, selected the 'Burn' button.  Once the 
'Burn' button began pulsing, I clicked it again to burn.  It asked me 
for a blank DVD which I inserted, and it began the burn process 
(according to the progress window complete with blue thermometer).  
However, after approx. 2.5 to 3 hours when the burning process 
finished, I immediately got a message reading something like, "There 
were errors in your movie, etc. and it could not be burned."

I followed this procedure three more times and finally went to bed 
around 1:00 a.m. with a completely blank disc each time.  Can anyone 
tell me what I'm doing wrong?   Is there something about exporting the 
movie to QT to 'fix' it for streaming?  The movie size is 9.2G and I'm 
working on a Dual 500 G4 with 1.2G of RAM, and a partitioned 2nd 
internal Western Digital HD with 36G of room left on it.  Thanks,  in
