If the virus/worm isn't able to run on the machine (mac) then it can't
"piggyback" unless you actually attach the original infected atachment to a
new message.

The other replies indicating that your address has been stolen and used to
spoof the other recipients is what is almost certainly happening unless you
are passing the attachments along.
