> > Is it possible to capture video LIVE right to a Mac? > >Sure you can. Yes, attach the camcorder via FW to the Mac and launch iMovie. Put the camcorder to Rec mode so what goes through its lens should also appear in iMovie. Another option is to use BTV Pro to capture DV to the Mac. With BTV Pro you can also do timelapse effects. (BTW, it is also possible to do timelapse via BTV Pro by playing a tape on the camcorder and feeding it to BTV Pro). AFAIR you can take the tape out so there is no wear 'n tear to the camcorder. Remember to disable the camcorder's "Demo mode" so the demo effects don't start to run after 10 minutes. BTW, is there any limit how long the camcorder stays on? I have only briefly tried this and once the camcorder shut down after twenty minutes (I once ran out of battery but AFAIR this time there was still power left). It was running on a battery so maybe using a wall outlet for power lets you keep the camcorder on indefinetely?
