[MacDV] Problem exporting to tape--iMovie

I have the same problem.  I'm using iM 3.03 with a G4/Dual 500.  And 
I've tried pass through with both my Canon ZR and my Panasonic DV953 
and I get the same result -- intermittent playback with periods of 
black in between all the way through.
