Rename your Quicktime player something like "previous Quicktime 
player". This worked for me otherwise you will lose your pro features. 
I also for safety backed my QT files to a CD-RW, just to be sure. You 
could also copy it to another location and rename it.

There are features QT 6 pro has that QT pro does not and vice verse 
also.
