-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I've just started using a Nady CM-2S mic with my Canon Optura Mini-DV cam. It has a jack for a stereo mic, so that's what I got. I also have a nice MXL mic for doing mono voice over work. You'll find that you need more than just a mic to do anything useful, though. I've got a pretty nice boom that I can use with either mic, but I'm still looking for an inexpensive way to mount the mic directly to the Canon. The stereo adapter for the Nady mic is designed to be mounted on the camera since it has a very short (19") cord. It also came with a longer cord that splits into two mono 1/8" jacks with 1/4" adapters. I thought I could just plug these into the 1/4" jacks on my MobilePre USB audio box but it's 1/4" ins are line level. That required getting another set of adapters so I could plug into the XLR inputs. But that now works, so I can now take a powerbook, the MobilePre and the mic and boom and record live shows without holding a camera the whole time... I've bought all my stuff from Musicians Friend, with the exception of the MobilePre. Don't know if they do international shipping, though. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=live/s=mics/search/detail/ base_pid/275558/ Regards, Joey Kennedy.
