I did just the opposite. My ten year old e-mail address gets a lot of 
spam, so I use my .Mac e-mail address as my new primary address. This 
also helps if you later have to change ISPs. The .Mac address works 
with any ISP. Another obvious use for .Mac for us video enthusiasts - 
it's a great place to upload a QuickTime movie and make it available 
for your friends and family. In fact, I've often wished that more of 
the participants here would make your best QuickTime movies available 
for the rest of us to learn from. Such as:
