[MacDV] iMovie HD and FCE?

I recently tried out iMovie HD on my laptop G4/933. Some nice new 
features, a pretty good update overall. But I used to be able to open 
iMovie projects in my Final Cut Express, v2.0.3. But when I opened FCE 
and tried to open the iMovie project file, FCE complained it was not 
the right kind of file. Must I upgrade FCE to FCE HD in order to remain 
compatible? I didn't see any info on Apple's site regarding iMovie 
compatibility with FC or FCE. Any help?
