Yes it is possible to do this in FCExpress. You'd place the audio into both L&R channels. Hey, just a suggestion.... you could use an audio program to achive what he wants. You would export the audio from iMovie then use something like Peak (Full or Express) to paste the audio into both L&R channels, save it back out and import it back into iMovie. He records a lot of weddings and similar events. Because I often shoot in extreme sound situations where controlling both right and left audio is impossible, I use a mono microphone plugged into an XLR jack either right or left. In iMovie, I don't have the option of either making the sound stereo or mono across both sides on my DVDs so that the same sound will play out of both speakers.
