[MacDV] PAL and NTSC footage in one project?

Is it possible to import footage shot on a PAL (24fps) DVcamera and combine
it with NTSC footage within the same FCP project?  If so, is there anything
I need to do when importing, etc. the footage?  Do the two different footage
settings adjust automatically (upon import) to the FCP project settings?

I will be using FCP 4.1
