Guess I'll have to spring for a new mac version of Photoshop....damn!
Guess they got me cause I really like the ability to use Photoshop to make graphics for
video. I thought a PSD file was a .PSD file
Sheesh!

Ah, the problem is the PC Photoshop file. Won’t work. See if you can find someone with Mac Photoshop or Photoshop elements and open the file, then save it. The Mac saved version will import properly.

 sb

I am using the latest version of FCE.
The file is being imported as a .PSD using the import function on FCE
The files were generated on a windows PC, burned on a cd, then captured from the mac super drive to the hard drive of an imac g5. I only have Photoshop on the PC. As far as I can tell, the layers are maintained in the file but show up as a single flattened image on FCE.

What version of FCE are you using?
Is your PS file saved as a .psd?
How are you doing the import into FCE?

It should show up in FCE browser as a sequence.
