[MacDV] Sony HDR-HC1 Bottom Feeds

So, is the fact that it feeds from the bottom the ONLY
thing wrong with the camera? If it is, it seems there
would be someone out there who would design an adapter
plate so that the magazine could be loaded without 
removing the camera from the tripod. Some kind of
offset configuration. But one would wonder why it was
designed that way to begin with. Must be a reason.
