Another possibility--last time I bought memory, I priced it on the Web, then
went to my local CompUSA (The Dark Side), and asked them to match the price.
They did, I put the chip in my PB right there at the counter, it didn't work
(surprise, surprise!), they brought out another one, this one worked, and I
was on my way.

Instant gratification, no hassling with delivery issues, no sending back
chips that didn't work, etc.

Of course, it would be a little tougher to lug your desktop down there...
