The video is 15minutes It was a slideshow done on imovie hd I don't think it is the brand of dvd as I have used yhe same cd brand to make a backup copy of a dvd I have and it worked on that player. All the fingers are pointing at something that is within the dsp or idvd project. It is only dvds generated with these tools that don't work on this player. I have checked the bitrate settings on dvdpro and it is 6 and set to be no more than 8. I may try changing that to something lower and see what happens. -----Original Message----- From: sb [mailto:videovideo at mac.com] Sent: 07 March 2005 17:03 To: A place to discuss digital video on Macintosh. Subject: [MacDV] Re: DSP And iDVD Dvd Player Help How long is the video on the dvd? The most common causes of a disc not playing back in one particular player is the brand of media or the data rate used. If your data rate is over about 8mb/sec that might be the problem. Especially if the player is an older one. Some players just don't like certain brands of blanks. Can you take the disc to an electronic store (Circuit City, BestBuy, etc) and try the disc in several machines? If it plays on most of them, then you know it's not the fault of the authoring software. hth, sb On 3/7/05 8:33 AM, "aashram" <amar at aashram.com> wrote: > > I have a dvd that I have authored using dvd studio pro and idvd and > for some reason I cannot get it work in a certain dvd player that I > have.
