[MacDV] capture everything on screen

I have a need to capture everything on the Mac screen and send it to a 
video tape machine. I have used Snap Pro X with movie capture to 
capture portions of the screen and for not a very long time but I need 
something that will capture the entire screen and send it to the VCR by 
?????.  I could send it to one of our VCR with firewire, or if there 
was something else that could be used to send the monitor feed direct 
to the VCR. I have a G5 tower that we want to use as the machine.  Any 
suggestions or stories of what does or doesn't work for you? Thanks.
