Is anyone familiar with the DVDs that come in the navigational computers in cars? I have one in my Honda and would like a backup disk in case anything goes wrong with it. Then I don't have to wait for a week to get a new one from the dealer (they don't stock them). Honda won't get me a spare one without paying full price for a new purchase ($185). I was able to rip it to my disk to make my own copy, but it is a data disk and is 7.64GB in size. I don't think I want to use the usual method for Video DVDs with compression. (My AL PowerBook can only do 4.7GB) Since this is larger than the single-layer 4.7GB DVD, I assume it's a dual layer disk. Is that assumption correct? If so, could I just find someone with a dual layer DVD burner and make a copy from my 7.64GB disk image? -- Dennis Fazio dfz at mac.com
