[MacDV] Canopus or DAC

I'm looking for a converter to use with my VCR to Mac G5 and have got it down
to these 2:
Canopus AVDC55
Datavideo DAC- 100
Any comments, preferences, known problems, different choices?

I've eliminated the ADS Pyro. I got one and it didn't work with my machine so
returned it. I might have tried to get it to work, but ADS was no help, never
respponding to my calls or email. And the retailer wasn't any use either.
