[MacDV] Sony HVR-V1U - a good choice for a mac editing station with Final Cut?

The only concern I have is the type of image stabilization, if any,  
the DV camera uses.  Optical is superior to electronic stabilization.   
Looks like a fine camera for use on a tripod.  No specific mention of  
Final Cut compatibility - but the firewire output should work with  
Macs no problem.
