Free (almost) Solution:

MacTheRipper (Free) to copy the DVD to your harddrive.

MPEG StreamClip (Free) to convert the VOB files to DV.

Apple MPEG2 QuickTime Component for MPEG StreamClip to access the  
MPEG2 VOB files ($20).
