Mary Ann,
      While the new iMovie can do a few cool things, I think schools  
(and the general public) want to hold onto HD6. Looks like Apple  
recognizes that too and has made it a download for those who only have  
'08 on a computer. I actually keep a few CD's with the "old" version  
in my laptop bag so people at my workshops can "downgrade." You can  
export whatever the kids have done as QT or DV and then import into  
HD6  to send it to tape.
