[MacDV] Frame rate and FCP Studio vs. Express

Got this from a friend. AMPG (above my pay grade)! What does the group  
have to say?
---> I’m going to be recording in 24p and/or 24p advanced. As I  
understand it, if I import this to Final Cut Express (what I have now)  
it will return the frame rate to 29.97frames per second because that’s  
the only timeline it has. Do I understand this situation correctly?
