[MacDV] Quicktime to AVI?

Hi Folks,

Have any of you ever had the need to convert a Quicktime file to AVI?

I want to send a video file to a Windows user in a format that he can  
open in a video editor. I know the expensive Windows video editors  
will open Quicktime, but some of my Windows users might be trying to  
use inexpensive or free solutions.

I usually use MPEG Streamclip to do file format conversions. When I  
open a Quicktime file, MPEG Streamclip gives me the option to export  
as AVI. But the default codec is "Apple Photo - JPEG" which doesn't  
sound right to me.

So I guess my question is "What codec do you choose to convert to AVI?"

And "Any other important settings for a Quicktime to AVI conversion?"
