Has anyone tried VideoPier HD?

What are your impressions? It looks like it could be of some help in
cataloging my many DV and HDV tapes with a reasonably low-effort work flow,
but so far I haven't been able to get it to function very well. Before I
invest any more time I thought I'd see what others think.

I've used FootTrack in the past for standard definition DV, but I'm giving
up on it and trying to come up with a new space-efficient cataloging method
that doesn't require too many steps.
