Geez, thanks for that. The box my 4X SuperDrive-equipped PowerBook just came
in is still sitting on the floor next to my desk!

What I don't understand is why there is such a desperate want (need) to
get to 8x now..Unless there is a life or death situation, it would seem
to me that the older, slightly slower unit that is already paid for
should suffice... Not to denigrate the newest/fastest but it's nice to
know that my original stuff still works and I can enjoy quite a few
beers and pizzas etc with the $$$ difference you guys have shelled out
and to also not have any interest payments at 15%+..<br>
