I have been using a Sony TRV 900. I am thinking of moving to HDV, and
am looking at a refurbished Sony HDR HC7 at a price under $800. I'm
not interested in camcorders with hard drive memory (I prefer tape). I
have read that this camcorder can convert an HD tape to a SD tape, if
needed. Is this true?<br>

<p>Are there issues with MPEG2? I'm using FCE HD as an editor, in a
Mac Book Pro w/intel dual processor.<br>
