>I have to agree - there is no way a monitor of any type can "introduce" lag. Really old powerbooks had "passive matrix" screens that left shadows behind for a half second or so as their images changed. It was really annoying, and pretty difficult to use for a game where lots of things were moving on the screen at once. Maybe that's what was meant by lag? Anyway, don't worry about that -- I haven't seen a new passive matrix monitor in years. The main advantage of CRTs, as was already mentioned, is price. On the other hand, LCDs take up much less space and use less electricity. I've also had people warn me that LCDs are optimized for one or two resolutions, and go really fuzzy when they try to do other ones. In my experience, I haven't seen that cause too much trouble, but you probably want to see how good an LCD monitor looks in common gaming resolutions before you buy it. Nevin
