As an Aussie and a big fan of most of these acts (esp SH and CV) it is great to see Severed Heads mentioned on an international list. One of the Cab's even lives in perth now (which is on the west coast of australia) hey here's a question: "hot on the heals of love" by Throbbing Gristle from 1981 - what gear was used for the drums and acid line and lead melody synth? its too early for 808, 101 and 303 gear - who knows what they used...? (this is not a contest - i DON'T know the answer) now TG was a band who knew about trance (and i mean psycho-/physio-logical trance here) but i mean using trance as a part of ritual for self discovery, often involving body-modification and usually live on-stage anyway, interested to know what gear they used if anyone has any ideas.... thanks :L uke, out. Sub Bass Snarl sound system sydney, australia http://snarl.org PS oh yeah and WHAT THE FUCK IS THE ONE CHORD SONG??????? I'M DYING TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pps anyone keen on earlier severed heads tracks could do worse than track down work by Garry Bradbury - one of the original members who has put out a solo album called Ruffini Corpuscle on the label synthi100f http://www.dualplover.com/product/Bradbury/Bradbury.html make sure you check the link to the SevCom site - run by Tom Ellard from Severed Heads On Sunday, August 24, 2003, at 06:29 AM, T at W wrote: >> with TR909s or 303s. > > But EsplendorGeometrico, Cabaret Voltaire, DAF, Severed Heads and > Phuture > had (in the '80's).
