[MPA] Griffin iMic: distorted signal?

Open Audio MIDI setup, it is in /Applications/Utilities/. Make sure the
Audio Output settings are 44100.0Hz, 2ch-16 bit. I have had a few times
where these settings changed and the output from the iMic was horrible.
