Let's face it, Steve Jobs and his crew are very clever both at developing and marketing exciting products like the iPod. IF it were possible to use the voice recorder and iListen, you would have seen demos already or read about it in a press release. The advantage of such a partible device (recording anywhere as the need or inspiration decrees) goes against the grain of the software's need for a consistent vocalization (ambient noise, levels, etc). So eliminated dictating while driving a car, or in an echoing lecture room, etc. Unless you create profiles for those kind of locations (and switch between them), it could prove to be a lesson in frustration.
