With this release you can now write AppleScripts that access hierarchical menus. We have also added several new global commands. ViaVoice is a dead product. In April of 2003 IBM entered an agreement with ScanSoft (the makers of NaturallySpeaking) whereby ScanSoft became responsible for all sales, support, and distribution of the ViaVoice product line. While IBM did retain development rights, given the fact that ScanSoft manufactures a competing Windows product it is highly unlikely that IBM will ever do further development on ViaVoice for either the Macintosh or for Windows. -- T.
