I saw in a local store recently a bluetooth adapter that could be connected to the input of your hifi system. The idea is that you can play music from your iPhone/iPod/iPad via bluetooth to the hifi. It also could be used to connect to the output of the hifi to transmit to bluetooth headphones. I haven't been able to find anything like it online (not sure how to describe it), but I'm wondering whether it might be possible to use a similar device connected to an approved microphone to provide audio to speech recognition programs? Hopefully this would overcome the different sampling rate the bluetooth headsets use. Of course, it would be necessary to provide power to the mic with a battery box like VXI(?) used to sell. It would mean that you wore the headset, and had the cable run into your pocket with the battery box and bluetooth transmitter. Cheers David PS, these devices on eBay look like they might do the bluetooth part. <http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-5mm-Stereo-Bluetooth-Headset-Audio-Receiver-Dongle-A2DP-Adapter-Transmitter-/270831934481?pt=AU_Laptop_Accessories&hash=item3f0ed75c11#ht_4652wt_915> <http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bluetooth-HiFi-Audio-Dongle-Adapter-A2DP-Receiver-3-5mm-/260807424089?pt=AU_Laptop_Accessories&hash=item3cb9557859#ht_3540wt_952> -- David Morrison PO Box 105, Cardiff, NSW 2285, Australia David_Morrison at internode.on.net Ph +61 2 49546164 IT Consulting and Support
