Hi I have been using DD 3 on Mavericks and had previously used earlier versions on Lion and ML. While I cannot provide a basis for saying it, DD3 on Mavericks has seemed a little more stable than previously. It still loses the plot from time to time but seemingly less so (I expect because I have a number of applications open at any one time). It is a consumer grade program and not in the same league as Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional on the PC, more the pity. Probably the best alternate for information on voice recognition of whatever flavour is the Knowbrainer.com forum - it carries an increasing amount of comment dealing with DD on Mac. That would be disastrous for me since I would have to wait for somebody to start Dragon Dictate (I'm quadriplegic). Are these stories typical or outliers? I'm running Dragon Dictate version 3.0.3 on Lion and although it's restarted once a day it only crashes about once every three months. Can I expect the same for Mavericks? I use the Terminal application a lot for my Java programs. > > I have a 2009 Mac Pro with 8GB of memory. > > Mike > > > > ------------------------------ > > Message: 2 > Date: Thu, 27 Feb 2014 04:38:49 -0500 > From: David Delmonte <ddelmonte at mac.com> > To: "A place to discuss speech recognition on Macintosh." > <macvoice at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> > Subject: Re: [MV] Will DD3 REALLY work on Mavericks? > Message-ID: <B9550C02-155C-43B5-863E-C687136DAB5B at mac.com> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" > > Recently, this group has not been so active.
