So, I sold my 500MHz TiBook today (yay - bought my 1GHz Superdrive model for my b-day 2 weeks ago...) and I've erased the old drive and re-installed OSX on it. My friend brings over an OS 9 app on CD that we try to load up and the computer hangs. I can't reboot so I do an archive and re-install OSX. I then go into terminal and sudo rm -r the Previous System folder. Back in the finder, i notice it lists 8 items but I only see 7 folders. After changing view modes i see there are TWO identical Users folders! (they were one on top of the other in icon mode) I can't delete nor drag either of them to the trash. Back in terminal, ls -a shows only one folder. HUH? Any ideas how to fix this? -Steve p.s. I did send my TiBook in to get that vertical blue line fixed last Monday - it only cost me $350 and they replaced the entire screen AND keyboard (according to my parts list). A call to billing inquiry confirmed that, yes, it was only $350 because it was determined that my screen defect was from normal use. How cool was that?
