Burning MacOS 9

I have a new 1GHz TiBook. Is is possible to burn a bootable MacOS 9 CD (or
DVD even) using the Apple's CD burning software? I read somewhere that it
was not possible - Toast is required. Is this true?. BootCD works a treat
for building a MaCOS X bootable CD.
