[Ti] OS X.2.3 Desktop Icon Migration - rrrrrrr!

I, too, have had a migration of sorts at times. My icons are sized to
approximately the size they were in OS9. Upon starting, I need to put
them into place. (All other icons remain where put, but not the
volumes.) Normally, all is well. But once in a while, all my icons
move about 2 fingers-width to the right, taking them off the screen. I
can usually see the edges of most. Oddly, selecting one, then doing a
Select All and moving the icons back over to the left does not fix the
positions of all icons. Some volume icons remain off the screen.
Additionally, some volume icons cannot be dragged once this happens.
I have not found what is causing this yet. The only game I have been
trying out is Candy Crisis and I just played it now to verify that's
not the cause. I use a few shareware apps to give myself OS9
functionality, but they are by reliable programmers. And I know I do
not have my icons placed on the grid or in alphabetical order.
