>We aren't savvy enough to know what exposure levels >are safe. Until we establish safety levels born from certainty and a causal >understanding then we must exercise good judgment. Keep the laptop elevated >off your lap. This reminds me of the WWII tales of soldiers standing in front of the Radar antennae prior to going to town on a pass... for birth control. This was prior to our understanding that this temporary sterility was not a good thing and lead to things like testicular cancer, which was also experienced by police officers who let the radar guns lay idle in their laps. While the laptop emissions surely don't approach either of those levels... prolonged exposure could, in fact, lead to at least minor health risks for men in particular. Of course, that begs the question: what is a "safe" distance? There are warnings now that using cell phones should always be done with antenna extended and to switch the phone from side to side, as those who developed tumors attributed to cell phone use said they always used the phone in one position. - Mike -- <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Mike Bigley Maineville, Ohio http://www.norbertrunning.com Please support an American Indian Elder & Medicine Man by visiting the above link. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
