Yes, maybe his zipper was acting as a tuning fork!  =)  You know, like 
those little stickers they try to sell you for you cell phone to 
improve your signal? =)  Maybe his zipper concentrated or resonated the 
signal converting it to thermal heat Bar-B-Q 'd his 'hot dog'...  and 
considering that that area of the anatomy houses a CRITICAL (from the 
standpoint of importance linked to the continuation to the entire human 
race) glands - may be much more sensitive and highly susceptible.  We 
are dealing with the mysteries of the universe here... =)
