As for the downloaded AAC files, I don't know what the cover art format 
is. For images you add to your library manually, the original 
dimensions and format is retained. Keep in mind that the cover art is 
embedded into the file itself, and if you have the same cover for 10 
songs, there will effectively be 9 useless copies of the cover taking 
up space.
